Makenna KizerMrs. Makenna Kizer - Rm 156

My name is Makenna Kizer, and I started teaching at Veterans Elementary in 2020. I graduated from Truman State University with my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Minor Degrees in Disability Studies and Child Studies, and my Master's Degree in Special Education. Teaching has always been my dream job. I am blessed to get to work with and build relationships with such amazing students every day! Outside of school, my husband and I enjoy spending time with friends and family, traveling, hunting, fishing, gardening, and playing with our chocolate lab - Moose.

Jennifer WelkerMrs. Jennifer Welker - Rm 208

I have been teaching as an Early Intensive Behavioral Intervention (EIBI) teacher since 2007. My educational background includes a B.S. in Early Childhood Education, an M.S. in Literacy, an Ed.D. in Organizational Leadership in Special Education, and most recently a certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis. I live in Quincy with my husband, Kurt, and pitbull, Sussex. I enjoy spending time with my family, doing activities outside such as hiking and playing ball, and weightlifting at my local gym. I love being able to work with students who just need a little extra boost, structure, or creativity to help them reach their best potential. Next year, I will be transitioning to a part time role in EIBI at the Early Childhood Center as well as continuing to support the EIBI classrooms at Veterans as an Intensive Behavior Program Coordinator (IBPC).
